Thank you for agreeing to serve as a peer reviewer. Your expertise is vital to maintaining the quality and credibility of the research we publish. Please follow the guidelines below when conducting your review.

1. Review Objectives

  • Familiarize yourself with the journal’s aims and scope.
  • Evaluate the manuscript for its originality, significance, methodology, data analysis, and conclusions.

2. Confidentiality

  • Treat the manuscript as a confidential document. Do not share or discuss it with others.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editor immediately.

3. Timeliness

  • Please only accept review invitations that you can complete by the deadline.
  • If you anticipate a delay, please notify the editor as soon as possible.

4. Structure of the Review

  • Begin with a brief summary of the manuscript's main points.
  • Provide clear, constructive, and respectful feedback to the authors.
  • Highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of the work.
  • Suggest relevant references if any are missing.

5. Recommendation

Based on your assessment, please provide a clear recommendation from the following categories:

  • Accept: The paper is suitable for publication in its current form.
  • Minor Revisions: The paper is acceptable after minor changes are made.
  • Major Revisions: The paper requires substantial improvements before it can be reconsidered.
  • Reject: The paper is not suitable for publication in this journal.

6. How to Conduct a Review in the JNHFB System

Please follow these steps to complete your review within our online system:

  1. Accept the Request: After receiving a review request via email, click the provided link. You will be asked to either Accept or Decline the review.
  2. Access the Manuscript: Once you accept, you can download the manuscript and any supplementary files from the review dashboard.
  3. Enter Your Comments: The review form has two text boxes: one for comments directed to the Author and Editor (which will be shared with the author anonymously) and one for comments to the Editor only (confidential).
  4. Make a Recommendation: Select your recommendation (Accept, Minor Revisions, etc.) from the dropdown menu.
  5. Submit Your Review: Once you have completed all fields, click the "Submit Review" button to finalize the process.
